Preaching in the Ability to See series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim warned against denigrating the Bible as merely a man’s word, describing it as a historical account of God’s dealings with the people of Israel.
He compared disbelief in the history recorded in the Bible to rejecting the history of Ghanaian traditional figures such as Okomfo Anokye, arguing that both represent accounts of the past that people accept as historical.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim questioned why some people accept orally transmitted histories of their own communities while disputing the history of Israel because it is recorded in a book, describing such an approach as a myopic mindset.
He further argued that the history of Israel was unique because the Lord God Almighty was behind the events recorded in the Bible, saying this distinguished biblical history from other historical accounts.
According to Dr Kuuku Dadzie, the power he associates with the name of the Lord Jesus and the responses he receives when calling on Him demonstrate that God is behind the history recorded in the Bible.
He concluded that efforts to discredit the Bible prevent people from recognizing it as God’s word and living according to it, warning that, in his view, such rejection is influenced by demons who do not want people to be saved.
