In the Ability to See series, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim stated that politicians and leaders who reject God are spiritually ignorant because many of the laws governing modern nations are rooted in God’s principles. He argued that societies continue to rely on values and systems that originated from biblical teachings.
According to him, common practices such as holidays and days of rest reflect concepts established by God during creation and that nations benefit from these principles even when they do not acknowledge their divine origin.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim further said that sleep, marriage, family life, reproduction, and the breath of life are all gifts that originated from the Lord God and so nations who hate God yet enjoy these things condemn themselves by benefiting from what the Lord God whom they hate brought.
He went on to add that national laws against murder, adultery, stealing and perjury are all drawn directly from God’s commandments from Exodus 20:13-16, and warned that nations whose laws go against God but still enforce these same laws bring a curse on their countries.
He also asserted that ideas such as taxation and worship have biblical foundations and so nations that reject God while benefiting from principles derived from Him are acting inconsistently and risking negative consequences.
He concluded with a striking analogy, saying that nations who hate God and use his creation are like someone who hates the sea but eats fish, stressing that no human being and no nation can truthfully claim they don’t need God, because consciously or unconsciously they are using God’s creation.
