Former presidential staffer Dennis Miracles Aboagye has criticized President John Dramani Mahama over the ongoing disagreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture regarding the release of funds for agricultural programmes.
Speaking on Joy News’ AM Show, Aboagye said the public dispute between the two ministries reflects a broader leadership problem within the government.
According to him, tensions within the administration have persisted for some time, and the latest clash is evidence of unresolved issues at the highest level.
“This is just the result of a long-standing issue that has been going on within this government that the president has been weak in addressing,” he said.
Aboagye argued that the disagreement extends beyond the issue of agricultural funding and points to deeper governance challenges within the administration.
“We have a very weak leader,” he added.
His comments come amid public discussions over reported disagreements between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture concerning funding for key agricultural programmes.
