Preaching in the Ability to See series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim has cautioned Christians against embracing dating and other worldly lifestyles simply because they have become widely accepted in both society and the church, even as they are abominations before God.
According to him, many churchgoers have normalised dating, which he described as a committed romantic relationship involving body contact, kissing, and intimacy without recognising that it has no place within the church of the Lord Jesus.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim further warned that society’s acceptance of certain behaviors does not mean they are acceptable to God. He said many people are deceived by following what the majority considers normal instead of measuring their lives by God’s standards.
The preacher urged believers to choose God’s standards over popular opinion, asking whether Christians should follow what society accepts or what God accepts. He encouraged worshippers to pattern their lives according to God’s word rather than the changing trends of the world.
Drawing comparisons with the generations of Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim said sexual immorality has become widely accepted by both worldly people and some churchgoers. He expressed concern over practices such as intimacy outside marriage and the viewing of pornography, saying they have become normalized.
He concluded that Christians who engage in intimacy outside marriage or watch pornography are living contrary to God’s word. He urged believers to reject worldly influences and pursue lives that reflect God’s principles rather than the practices accepted by society.
