Preaching in the Ability to See series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim said many people, including those who claim to worship God, disregard God’s word because they do not truly know God, stressing that God’s word is powerful, eternal and should not be treated as an ordinary human word.
He said God’s word brought the universe into existence, sustains it and will ultimately judge every human being, adding that the heavens and earth may pass away, but God’s word will abide forever.
Touching on creation, Dr Kuuku Dadzie said some worldly people and churchgoers had rejected the account in Genesis 1 and 2 that God created the heavens, earth, plants, animals and human beings, choosing instead to believe in scientific explanations such as the Big Bang and abiogenesis.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie then questioned why people would place human scientific understanding above the word of God, arguing that science cannot explain every natural and spiritual phenomenon and cannot control events such as death or the end of the world.
He further said God’s word concerning marriage had also been rejected by some worldly people and churchgoers, referring to Genesis 2:21-24 which teaches that God formed the woman and brought her to Adam as a married couple.
He therefore urged those who claim to worship God to take His word seriously, saying that rejecting His principles on creation and marriage showed that people did not understand who God was and were living in confusion and deception.
