Egypt national team coach Hossam Hassan has reportedly collapsed after an altercation involving his two wives at a hotel on Egypt’s North Coast.

According to reports from Egypt, the 60-year-old coach was staying at a hotel in Porto Marina when his first wife, Howaida El-Gharbawy, and his second wife, Dina Mostafa, became involved in a heated argument.

The disagreement reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation, prompting hotel security personnel to intervene.

Both women are said to have sustained cuts and bruises during the incident.

Hassan was reportedly overwhelmed while attempting to deal with the situation and subsequently fainted.

Some reports claimed he needed medical attention following the collapse, although other accounts have questioned the extent of the reported health scare.

The incident has since taken another turn, with reports suggesting that Hassan has decided to divorce his first wife, Howaida, bringing an end to a relationship that had lasted for decades.

The pair have children together and had previously separated before later reconciling.

Hassan’s marriage to Dina Mostafa dates back to 2015 and has also attracted attention in Egypt over the years.

The reported hotel incident comes shortly after Hassan led the Pharaohs at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Egypt advanced to the last 16 before being eliminated by Argentina.
