President of Medeama SC, Moses Armah Parker, has disclosed that every member of the Black Stars Management Committee received $50,000 during Ghana’s participation at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Parker, who served on the committee, made the revelation in an interview with Medeama FM, explaining that the amount was equivalent to half of the appearance fee paid to each player in the national team.
According to him, the payment was the only financial benefit committee members received throughout the tournament.
“Members of the Black Stars Management Committee received only half of the players’ appearance fee, meaning each of us received $50,000. There was no per diem or winning bonus for the committee,” Parker said.
The Black Stars Management Committee was appointed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to oversee the team’s administrative, operational and logistical affairs during the World Cup.
The committee was chaired by Randy Abbey, with former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah serving as vice-chairman.
Moses Parker and Samuel Aboabire were responsible for operations and matchday activities, while the committee also coordinated stakeholder engagements and preparations before the team departed for the tournament.
Ghana impressed during the competition by reaching the knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 2010.
However, the Black Stars’ campaign came to an end in the Round of 32 after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Colombia in Kansas City.
