Preaching in the Ability to See series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim cautioned Christians against blindly copying worldly lifestyles, saying many churchgoers now follow the same fashion trends as the world like tattered jeans and men plaiting their hair, arguing that believers should seek to please God rather than imitate society.
According to him, Noah and his family remained faithful by refusing to conform to the practices of their generation. He also pointed to the woman with the issue of blood, saying she did not conclude that all physicians were ineffective but continued to seek the true healer until she found healing in Jesus Christ.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim further said that generalization can cause individuals to miss God’s provision while referencing Nathaniel’s initial view which was a generalized opinion that nothing good could come from Nazareth. He explained that God chose Nazareth as the place from which the Saviour came to prove human assumptions wrong.
He then urged believers to think and speak according to God’s word rather than public opinion, maintaining that Christians who refuse to follow the crowd distinguish themselves from worldly lifestyles and become people who live to please God.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim also warned against assuming that popularity is evidence of truth. He argued that many people are drawn to churches simply because they attract large crowds, a mindset he said demons have exploited to mislead those who equate numbers with spiritual authenticity.
He concluded by encouraging Christians to examine everything according to God’s word instead of following majority opinion. He said believers should seek where God is truly at work, remembering that what many people accept is not necessarily what God approves.
