A Russian woman who has visited Ghana eight times has praised President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership, saying the changes she has observed across the country have been significant.
She shared her observations during an engagement between Mahama and participants at the Russian University of Transport in Moscow on October 27, 2026, where she spoke about her repeated visits and growing interest in Ghana.
The woman said her travels had taken her beyond Accra to several parts of the country, including Tema, Takoradi, the Volta Region and the Bono East Region.
Drawing on her experiences, she commended Mahama for what she described as substantial changes under his leadership, expressing admiration for the direction in which she believes the country is moving.
“The changes that I could witness that occurred under your leadership in your country are huge, they are immense,” she told the President.
She went on to describe Mahama as someone capable of turning his aspirations into reality, linking the changes she had observed to his vision for Ghana.
“I want to say that you are the person who brings your dreams to life,” she added.
Her remarks prompted Mahama to ask about the reason for her frequent visits to Ghana, expressing surprise that she had travelled to the country eight times.
The President wanted to know whether she was conducting research or working on a particular project in Ghana.
In response, the woman revealed that she was planning to invest in the country, signalling a potential business interest beyond her visits.
Mahama welcomed her interest, as the exchange highlighted Ghana’s efforts to attract foreign investors and strengthen economic ties with international partners.
Although the woman did not provide details about the proposed investment, her comments reflected her personal impressions of Ghana after travelling to different parts of the country on several occasions.
