Preaching in the Ability to See Series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim stated that people’s beliefs and actions concerning death reveal that many people do not know God. He said some traditions and perceptions about the dead are based on spiritual ignorance.

He explained that some people believe the spirit of a dead person remains with the family, leading them to bury the dead at family homes or visit graves to pour libation, speak to the dead, or even clean the bones.

He added that such practices do not involve the spirit of the dead person but instead attract evil spirits associated with the deceased. He warned that keeping such practices could prevent people from experiencing God’s blessings.

Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim further rejected beliefs about ancestral homes and reincarnation, describing them as human perceptions and traditions rather than the truth about death. He said there is no ancestral home in the spiritual realm and that reincarnation is not the reality of what happens after death.

According to him, the truth about death belongs only to the Lord God, who brought about death and declared that human beings will return to the ground. He said no human belief or tradition can replace God’s knowledge.

He concluded that anyone who claims to worship God while holding these beliefs about death does not know God and is living in the lies of demons, traditions, and customs, and therefore urged people to seek the truth from God alone.
