Preaching in The Ability to See series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr. Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim emphasized the importance of having a genuine pastor, describing the pastor as a teacher, spiritual father, and shepherd who watches over the souls of God’s people. He said believers without a pastor are spiritually vulnerable and exposed to evil.
According to him, a genuine pastor enforces God’s word and ensures that church members live in obedience to God’s commandments. He argued that any pastor who permits people to disregard God’s word does not represent God but is influenced by demonic forces.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim stated bluntly that if you are happy to be with your pastor because he allows you to do whatever you want, you are senseless and don’t know what church is about. He further criticized such people as careless and purposeless people who don’t know what to do with their lives.
He further warned that the world is in an era of ineffectiveness where people go to church, but the church has no effect on their lives and behaviors, an era where people don’t want to go to heaven or to be told the truth, clearly indicating that today’s churchgoers don’t know that truth is God and God is truth.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie expressed concern that today’s church people make it seem as if holiness is an outmoded word and not a requirement for today’s generation, questioning whether they understand Ephesians 5:27, which states that the Lord Jesus will present to Himself a glorious church that is holy and without blemish, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing.
He concluded that God’s standard of holiness has never changed and never will, so no human being should think they can force Him to change His laws for this generation.
