Preaching in the Ability to See series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim cautioned that any church lacking God’s nature, character and power at work within it is a demonic church. He added that prayer is not needed for you to discern that pastors who change God’s word to please their followers are demonic.
He therefore urged believers to attend churches where God is present and where the pastor can transform them to be holy. He warned against choosing a church based on marriage, business, welfare or other physical needs, describing such motives as unwise and stressing that salvation should be the true priority.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim said the good Lord instructs believers to seek His kingdom and righteousness first, promising that other things will be added. He lamented that many people today attend church for physical benefits rather than salvation, adding that neglecting the eternal destiny of the soul in favour of earthly enjoyment is a sign of foolishness.
He quoted that “Wise people think about the aftermath of life, but stupid people think about the enjoyment of life” and went on to advise that wise people should first secure their soul’s place after death and trust God to supply their physical needs.
He accused demons of distracting people from thinking about their souls by using surrogate pastors who preach only prosperity, marriage, childbirth and worldly success. According to him, this breeds competition among church members over riches, cars, marriage and children, while their bad characteristics and eternal fate go unexamined.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie called on believers to seek pastors who are bold enough to confront their demonic characteristics, truly called and empowered by God, and capable of teaching sound doctrine and delivering people from captivity while helping believers to discover and fulfil God’s purpose for their lives. He concluded by advising people to seek God and not seek things because as they seek God well, He will provide the things they need.
