Flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, says he is confident of securing at least 90 percent delegate support in the Tano North Constituency during the party’s 2026 presidential primaries.
Dr. Bawumia, who is currently touring the Ahafo Region as part of his campaign, expressed optimism that his strong ties with the grassroots will translate into an even higher endorsement than the 84 percent support he received from the constituency in the 2023 race.
Addressing delegates on the first day of his regional tour — which also includes Tano South and Asutifi North constituencies — the former Vice President thanked party members for their loyalty and unwavering commitment to his political journey.
He described Tano North’s consistent backing as “a reflection of the trust and unity within the NPP family,” adding that he remains focused on leading the party to victory in the 2026 elections.
