Flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, is set to begin his Eastern Regional tour on Thursday, October 23, 2025, as he continues to engage party delegates across the country ahead of the January 31, 2026, presidential primaries.
The respected former General Secretary of the NPP and Press Secretary to former President John Agyekum Kufuor will meet delegates from Ayensuano, Suhum, New Juaben North, and New Juaben South at Koforidua, where he is expected to outline his vision for rebuilding and uniting the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
His Eastern tour follows a highly successful second phase of his Ashanti Regional campaign, where he visited more than 20 constituencies, receiving widespread endorsements and warm receptions from delegates who described his message as one of hope, unity, and renewal.
During the Ashanti tour, Ing. Kwabena Agyepong met delegates from Ejisu, Juaben, Effiduase, Asante Akim South, North, and Central, as well as Bosome Freho, Bekwai, Bosomtwe, Odotobri, Manso Nkwanta, Manso Adubia, and several others. Everywhere he went, the message was the same — restore the founding spirit of the NPP: sacrifice, service, and selflessness.
“I have sacrificed for the NPP, served with integrity and dedication. It’s now time to rebuild our party and restore faith among our supporters,” Ing. Agyepong told cheering delegates during his stops across the Ashanti Region.
He also vowed to tackle factionalism and apathy within the party, urging members to look beyond personal interest and unite for a common goal — victory in 2028.
“I am the headmaster of those who have suffered in the NPP, and your welfare will always be at the bottom of my heart. I will hold this party together and deliver victory in 2028,” he assured the crowd at Kunso in the Ahafo Ano South West constituency.
Throughout the Ashanti tour, Ing. Kwabena Agyepong received massive endorsements from delegates, who praised his humility, clean record, and deep experience within the NPP. Several party members described him as the only candidate capable of reconnecting the party with its grassroots and winning back disillusioned supporters.
Having completed the Ashanti leg of his campaign with remarkable momentum, Ing. Agyepong is now expected to bring that same energy to the Eastern Region, the home of many founding figures of the NPP, where his message of “Leadership with Integrity — Going Back to Our Roots” is expected to resonate strongly.
“I will continue to engage every constituency, listen to our party faithful, and remind them that the NPP was built on sacrifice, not self-interest. Together, we will rebuild and win again,” he said ahead of his Eastern Regional launch.
As anticipation builds for his arrival in Koforidua, delegates say they are eager to meet the man many are now calling “the unifier and reformer” of the NPP.
