Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has reassured delegates of his loyalty and commitment, pledging never to disappoint them if they entrust him with their votes in the upcoming flagbearership race.

Speaking during separate meetings with delegates in the Old Tafo, Bantama, and Suame constituencies, Ing. Agyepong declared: “The party gave birth to me, and I will make the party strong if you vote for me. I will not let the party be crumpled. I will not let you down if you vote for me.”

He appealed to the delegates to support him as a son of the party, adding that if given the mandate, he would restore the trust of Ghanaians in the NPP.

“Support me as your son, and if you send me, Ghanaians will have faith in me and vote for me,” he assured.

The former NPP General Secretary stressed that Ghana was yet to have an engineer as president since independence, insisting it was time for the country to benefit from technical leadership.
He promised to champion a strong maintenance culture on roads and public infrastructure, explaining that such a policy would create jobs and empower local artisans, similar to practices in advanced economies like the United States.

Hon. Akwasi Osei Adjei, former Ejisu Juaben MP and ex-Minister for Foreign Affairs, also joined the campaign trail, publicly declaring his support for Ing. Agyepong.

He urged delegates to rally behind him, describing him as the bridge to reconnect the NPP to its grassroots. “Kwabena Agyepong is going to heal the party and send it to victory,” he affirmed.

Delegates warmly received Ing. Agyepong’s message and expressed their enthusiasm, with many assuring him of their support as his campaign gathers momentum across the Ashanti Region.
