Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has assured investors that the government will remain committed to sustaining Ghana’s economic recovery following what he described as a successful investor engagement.
In a post shared on his official X account after the engagement on August 5, 2026, Dr Forson expressed gratitude to participants, saying their confidence in Ghana’s economic direction was both encouraging and reassuring.
“My sincere thanks to everyone who participated in our Investor Engagement yesterday. Your overwhelming confidence in Ghana’s economic recovery and the work we are doing is both humbling and encouraging,” he wrote.
The Finance Minister reiterated the government’s determination to continue implementing reforms aimed at strengthening the economy and restoring investor confidence.
“We will not relent. We will continue working to build the Ghana we all want,” he added.
The investor engagement comes at a time when the government says it is making steady progress in stabilising the economy through macroeconomic reforms.
Officials have highlighted improvements in key economic indicators, including inflation, exchange rate stability, fiscal consolidation and the country’s external sector performance.
In recent months, international credit rating agencies have also upgraded Ghana’s economic outlook following progress in debt restructuring and fiscal reforms, boosting investor confidence and raising expectations of a gradual return to the international capital market.
The government has maintained that its ongoing reforms are focused on restoring macroeconomic stability, strengthening public finances, attracting private investment and creating the foundation for sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
