Hearts of Oak are reportedly unwilling to part ways with goalkeeper Benjamin Asare for anything less than $200,000 following his impressive performances for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Phobians are said to be attracting growing interest from clubs seeking to sign the experienced shot-stopper after his standout displays for the Black Stars in North America. While several teams are monitoring the 33-year-old, reports indicate Hearts will only consider offers that exceed the $200,000 mark.

Asare enjoyed a memorable tournament in his first appearance at a major international competition, cementing his place as Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper.

The Hearts captain delivered a series of assured performances as the Black Stars advanced from a challenging group featuring England, Croatia and Panama before their World Cup campaign ended with a 1-0 defeat to Colombia in the Round of 32.

His commanding displays earned widespread recognition and further enhanced his reputation on the international stage.

Interest in the goalkeeper has continued to grow, with reports suggesting clubs from abroad, including sides in Saudi Arabia, have already made initial enquiries about his availability.

Hearts are in a strong position to negotiate, with Asare’s current contract running until June 2027.

Although Transfermarkt currently values the Ghana international at €100,000, the club believes his impressive World Cup performances have significantly increased his market value and is reportedly seeking a transfer fee well above that figure from potential buyers.
