The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has selected Nana Ama Bonsu as the 15th Queen of the Asante Kingdom.
The selection was made in accordance with the traditional processes of the Asante Kingdom, which govern the appointment of queens to support the stool and the royal household.
Nana Ama Bonsu is expected to assume her responsibilities in line with Asante customs and traditions, working closely with the royal court in her official capacity.
Further details regarding her formal installation are expected to be announced by the Manhyia Palace in due course.
