Veteran Ghanaian actress Helena Maame Adwoa Petreba Pieterson, popularly known as Adjoa Pee, has accused Kumawood actor Mr Beautiful of allegedly taking part of money she says President John Dramani Mahama sent to support her medical bills.
The actress made the allegation during an interview on Bra Emma Studios, aired on September 24, 2026, while recounting an incident she says occurred about four years ago when she was hospitalised.
According to Adjoa Pee, President Mahama had told veteran creatives that those who needed assistance could inform Mr Beautiful, who would then bring their concerns to his attention.
She said that in 2022, after she was admitted to hospital, Mr Beautiful informed her that the President had responded to her situation and given him GH¢2,000 to help settle her medical expenses.
Adjoa Pee said the actor arrived at the hospital with the money but allegedly deducted an amount from it to cover his transportation costs.
“I was in the hospital when he called me and said he had informed the President about my situation. He told me the President had given him GH¢2,000 to come and pay my medical bills. When he came, he was indeed holding GH¢2,000,” she said.
“Mr Beautiful took part of the money from the medical bill saying he is using it to cover his transportation. So, he took his transportation fare from the GH¢2,000, and the money was no longer enough to cover the medical bills. I therefore had to personally top up the amount needed to settle the bills,” she added.
The actress said she found it difficult to believe that the President would have given Mr Beautiful money specifically for her medical bills without making separate provision for his transportation.
“I am not sure President John Dramani Mahama would give him money to come and pay my medical bills in Tema without giving him separate money for transportation,” she said.
Adjoa Pee also alleged that Mr Beautiful recorded an appreciation video she made for President Mahama after her medical bills had been settled.
She said she had repeatedly contacted the actor to ask for a copy of the video so she could keep it for her personal use, but claimed that he did not respond to her calls.
The allegations made by Adjoa Pee have not been independently established from the information provided, and Mr Beautiful’s response to the claims was not included in the account.
