Preaching in the Ability to See series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim rejected claims that Apostle Paul instructed Timothy to drink alcohol, explaining that Paul advised him to take a little fruit juice for his stomach problem, not an alcoholic drink.

He cautioned people against using Timothy’s case as an excuse for drinking, stressing that biblical instructions should not be twisted to justify personal desires, particularly when Scripture warns against the destructive effects of alcohol.

Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim also maintained that alcohol should have no place in Christian funeral practices, including libation or serving mourners, arguing that believers should instead commit the deceased into God’s hands through prayer.

He further criticised preachers and churches that approve alcohol consumption or use alcoholic drinks in communion, insisting that God desires His people to be free from alcohol’s destructive influence and to maintain healthy bodies.

Turning to the Bible, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim said the way some people speak disrespectfully about Scripture reveals a failure to understand its divine significance, particularly among those who claim to worship God.

He explained that the Bible is the written Word of God and records His dealings with humanity, including His relationship with Abraham, Moses and the people of Israel, urging those who reject its historical accounts to reconsider their understanding of Scripture.
