Preaching in the Ability to See series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim explained that people do not take such extreme positions in other areas of life like the choice of restaurants or relationships whereby when a restaurant serves bad food, patrons simply search for a good restaurant or after a painful heartbreak in a relationship, individuals continue searching for a good partner rather than giving up on relationships forever.
According to him, it is only when it comes to God, church and pastors that people readily take such extreme decisions, and he attributed this pattern directly to the work of evil spirits that seek to prevent people from finding genuine places of worship.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie stated that after one or two bad experiences with fake churches or bad pastors, demons push some people to completely reject church and any form of pastoral guidance. He described such individuals as guilty of double standards, since they show more resilience in pursuing good food and good relationships than in pursuing a good church for their salvation.
He explained that God wants His people to be wise and responsible by studying His word to identify His true church and genuine pastors rather than being deceived. Citing 1 John 4:1, he stressed that believers are to test all spirits to determine whether they are of God, since many false prophets exist in the world.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie explained that testing and comparing spirits is what enables believers to distinguish a genuine prophet from a fake one, and that anyone who fails to do this but continues to complain about bad churches and pastors is just lazy and irresponsible.
He concluded that life is not made up of only good people and good things, and that anyone who cannot distinguish good from bad, whether in people, things, churches or pastors, is unwise and has been weakened by demons into losing the ability to judge between right and wrong.
