On the Ability to See series, Dr. Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim stated that if a person does not worship the Lord God Almighty and does not live a holy life, whatever that person receives in prayer does not come from God.
He stressed that God does not perform miracles from heaven for sinners, and that claims of miracles “from the sky” must be judged carefully, as such acts can originate from evil spirits in the sky rather than from God.
He further explained that even if a person who is not holy prays for rain to fall or stop, or causes dramatic signs like thunder and lightning, those are deceptive miracles.
Dr. Ephraim questioned why God would stop rain for worldly funeral ceremonies to continue sinful practices such as ancestral rituals, alcohol consumption, immoral dances, or libation to river gods.
He concluded that God’s miracles—like the manna and quails given to Israel in the wilderness—are reserved for His children and are never meant to promote sin.
