The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced the commencement of Ghana Card issuance for children aged 6 to 14 years, beginning Monday, October 6, 2025.

The distribution will initially take place in 56 districts across the country, targeting children who have already completed the registration process. Cards will be issued at the same schools where the children were originally registered.

To receive their cards, children must be physically present and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Guardians are also required to present the original registration receipt (Form A) provided during registration.

The NIA has assured the public that all backlogs of unprinted Ghana Cards have been cleared, and the remaining districts will be covered in the coming days.

Further updates regarding new registrations for children in this age group will be announced soon.

The NIA is urging parents and guardians to fully cooperate to ensure a smooth and successful card distribution process.
