On the latest episode of The Ability to See series, broadcast on AP Radio 105.7 in Kaase, Kumasi, preacher Dr. Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim delivered a powerful teaching on the spiritual foundation of marriage, emphasizing that marriage is ordained by God—not by families, customs, or traditions.
Dr. Ephraim clarified that it is God alone who joins a man and woman in true covenant, not ancestral rituals or cultural practices. He warned that when families take control of the process through libation, ancestral invocations, or traditional rites, the marriage becomes spiritually compromised and influenced by demonic forces, rather than the Holy Spirit.
He urged Christians to recognise that marriage is God’s institution, and that parents and extended families are to act as witnesses, not authorities over the union. For a marriage to be truly Christian, he stressed, it must be guided by God’s Word and presence—not by cultural expectations or spiritual compromises.
Dr. Ephraim concluded with a strong admonition:
“Let God lead your marriage. Any union that is founded outside of Him is headed for destruction.”
His message served as both a teaching and a warning to believers to build their marriages on the foundation of God’s truth, not human tradition.
