PAOK defender Baba Abdul Rahman returns to the national team for the first time since September 2023 after an impressive season in Greece. The former Chelsea left-back made 35 appearances, scoring three goals and providing three assists across all competitions.

Olympique Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah also returns after nearly a year out due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury. The winger is now fully fit after a lengthy recovery period.

Other returning players include Rayo Vallecano defender Abdul Mumin, Saint-Étienne midfielder Augustine Boakye and Stade Rennes defender Alidu Seidu, all of whom recently recovered from long injury layoffs.

Ajax Amsterdam youngster Paul Reverson has also earned a call-up for further assessment after impressing with the Dutch club’s youth team. The 20-year-old is viewed as a player for the future.

The training camp and friendly against Wales form part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
