England captain Harry Kane has revealed that he accepted an invitation from United States President Donald Trump to play golf, describing the experience as “surreal.”

Speaking about the outing, the Bayern Munich striker said Trump invited him to play during a visit to Palm Beach in early 2025.

“I played all right, to be honest. Yeah, we played about 18 months ago. He invited me to play when I was down in Palm Beach. So yeah, when the president invites you somewhere, it’s a pretty surreal experience just to meet him and obviously play golf with him,” Kane said, according to the BBC.

Kane also praised Trump’s golfing ability, saying he was impressed by the US president’s standard of play.

“His golf’s pretty good, to be honest with you. I hope I can play golf as good as him when I’m his age, that’s for sure. So yeah, unique experience. I was just grateful that he invited me down to play. Pretty surreal,” he added.

The England captain’s comments come after President Trump recently praised Kane’s footballing performances during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the striker has been one of England’s key players.
