Cristiano Ronaldo and his longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez have officially married, bringing their nearly decade-long relationship to a new chapter with a private ceremony in Portugal.
The 41-year-old football star and Rodriguez exchanged vows in the coastal town of Cascais, west of Lisbon, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Their five children were present for the intimate civil ceremony.
Ronaldo later confirmed the marriage on Instagram, posting a photograph of his and Rodriguez’s hands showing their wedding rings.
“C and G,” he captioned the image.
The couple have been together since meeting in Madrid in 2016 and have since become one of football’s most recognisable couples, with their relationship and family life regularly attracting public attention.
Together, Ronaldo and Rodriguez are parents to twins Eva Maria and Mateo, daughter Alana and daughter Bella. Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr, is also part of the family.
The family experienced a heartbreaking loss in 2022 when Bella’s twin brother, Angel, died shortly after birth.
Rodriguez and Ronaldo have also shared aspects of their relationship through Rodriguez’s Netflix reality series, I Am Georgina. Ronaldo has previously spoken about their first meeting, recalling that Rodriguez caught his attention because of her personality and maturity.
Their wedding marks the formalisation of a relationship that has remained in the spotlight since its beginning almost 10 years ago.
The marriage comes only days before Ronaldo is expected to begin another season with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.
