Preaching in The Ability to See series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr. Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim declared that you cannot go to God without a pastor, comparing the Kingdom of God to an embassy where you cannot enter another country without going through the embassy to get a visa, stating that if you don’t want to belong to God’s church and be submissive to any pastor, you cannot see God with your rebellious mindset.
He further described the genuine pastor as the one who is called by God, understands the heart of God, gathers holy people for God and not sinners, teaches God’s word for church people to be holy as God requires, and delivers them from evil spirits warning that anyone who calls himself a pastor without these qualities is an imposter whom God does not know and who therefore cannot take people to God.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie stated bluntly that falling into the hands of an impostor is a result of gullibility and irresponsibility, urging believers to study the Bible diligently in order to identify true shepherds and avoid deception.
He buttressed the importance of the pastor citing biblical examples, including Isaiah’s lament over the absence of an intercessor, God’s sending of Peter to Cornelius, Apostle Paul’s mission to Macedonia, and the two disciples on the road to Emmaus persuading the Lord Jesus to abide with them which demonstrate that even devout believers have always needed spiritual guidance and intercession from God’s appointed servants.
He also quoted that having a shepherd and being with him is physical comfort and spiritual security, warning that anyone who downplays the role of a pastor is deceived by demons who want that person to be spiritually vulnerable.
He concluded that as a teacher prepares students for their final examination, the pastor also equips believers with the word of God and therefore God seekers have to embrace the role of a genuine pastor and place themselves under one in their spiritual journey.
