Business leader and social commentator Senyo Hosi has criticised Members of Parliament over a recent protest in Parliament, describing their conduct as childish and marked by excessive bickering.

Mr. Hosi expressed disappointment at the scenes that unfolded in the House, saying the behaviour of lawmakers failed to reflect the maturity, discipline, and leadership expected of individuals entrusted with governing the country. According to him, the constant shouting, walkouts, and confrontational posture displayed during the protest made Parliament resemble a playground rather than a serious institution of democracy.

He said while disagreements are a normal part of democratic governance, the manner in which MPs handled the situation was unacceptable and unproductive. “They were behaving like children,” Hosi remarked, adding that too much time was spent on bickering instead of addressing the substantive issues affecting the nation.

Mr. Hosi noted that such conduct undermines public confidence in Parliament and distracts from pressing national concerns such as the economy, unemployment, and public service delivery. He urged lawmakers to rise above partisan interests and conduct themselves with the decorum and responsibility their positions demand.

His comments have added to growing public criticism of parliamentary conduct, with many Ghanaians calling for greater professionalism, accountability, and respect for democratic institutions.
