Flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has urged party delegates to reward his decades-long loyalty and service by voting for him in the upcoming presidential primaries.

Speaking to delegates from Ejisu, Juaben, and Effiduase on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, as part of Phase Two of his Ashanti Regional campaign tour, Agyepong highlighted his unwavering commitment to the party.

“I have sacrificed for the NPP, served with integrity and dedication — vote for me,” he declared, receiving thunderous applause from the delegates.

Recounting his journey within the party, Ing. Agyepong reminded delegates of the numerous roles he has played, from supporting Professor Adu Boahen in the early 1990s, aiding Akufo-Addo during the 1998 primaries, and ultimately serving former President John Agyekum Kufuor as Press Secretary. Despite political differences in earlier campaigns, he remained loyal and principled, demonstrating humility, discipline, and an enduring commitment to party unity.

He emphasized the need to restore the values of the NPP, which he said have been eroded by factionalism and apathy.

“The NPP was founded on unity, discipline, and service to the people. Today, we face division and political opportunism. If you want someone who can restore the party and connect with Ghanaians again, it is me,” he stated.

Delegates, many of whom recalled his sacrifices over the years, responded with strong endorsements. One emotional delegate said he was part of those who signed the Atwima Kwanwoma book in 1992, helping to establish the party, and urged fellow delegates to honor Agyepong’s loyalty by supporting him.

“Remember him on January 31 — he has suffered for the party. If it were anyone else, they would have quit long ago,” the delegate appealed.

Ing. Agyepong concluded by assuring delegates that his leadership would prioritize unity, integrity, and service to the Ghanaian people, pledging to rebuild the party and win back the trust of the electorate ahead of the 2028 general elections.
