An eyewitness has narrated how a landlord at Medie Ketewa in the Ga West Municipality allegedly stabbed his tenant to death during a confrontation over a GH¢30 electricity bill.

In a video shared on X by Ask Media on May 20, 2026, the eyewitness claimed the landlord invited the tenant into his room to discuss the unpaid amount.

According to the eyewitness, the argument reportedly escalated into violence.

“He was owing the landlord GH¢30. So, he asked him to come to his room. When he got there, tensions escalated, and the landlord stabbed him in the chest,” the eyewitness said.

The victim, identified as 37-year-old Opoku Agyemang, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Residents in the area have been left shocked by the incident, especially after reports emerged that the landlord and tenant shared a close relationship beyond their rental arrangement.

Some neighbours described them as friends and long-time work colleagues.

The deceased was married and reportedly left behind three children.
