Preaching in the Ability to See series on the Nkwagye Kwan radio program, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim said some worldly people and churchgoers had rejected the biblical teaching that the world would come to an end, stressing that 2 Peter 3:10 stated that the earth and its works would be burned up and humanity would face God’s judgment.
He said such people also rejected the teaching in Hebrews 9:27 that human beings would die once and face judgment afterwards, arguing that disbelief in judgment encouraged people to live as they pleased without considering accountability after death.
Talking about hell, Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim pointed out that the Lord Jesus was the One who made mention of it multiple times and referenced Matthew 13:49, where Jesus spoke of the wicked being cast into a fiery furnace amid wailing and gnashing of teeth but sadly some people refuse to believe it exists.
He further said some people rejected the existence of heaven despite the teaching of Jesus in John 14:1-3 that He would prepare a place for His people and return to take them to Himself, arguing that some instead considered earthly enjoyment and wealth to be their heaven.
Dr Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim attributed the rejection of these teachings to what he described as demonic deception, saying it sought to make people treat God’s word with contempt and portray God as a liar.
He concluded that human beings and demons could not make God a liar, insisting that it was only the Lord God Almighty who told the truth and so we must live according to His Word if we want to live in truth too.
