The Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, Paul Yandoh, has cautioned the ruling National Democratic Congress against what he describes as intimidation and persecution of NPP members.

According to him, political power is temporary, warning that the NPP could return to government after the 2028 general elections.

Speaking in an interview on Angel TV, excerpts of which have circulated on social media, Yandoh claimed that the current administration’s pursuit of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta would eventually be mirrored against current Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson if the NPP regains power.

“Ato Forson will be used as a scapegoat; they themselves will bring him after the 2028 elections. The way they are pursuing Ken Ofori-Atta, the same way the NPP will do to him after the 2028 elections,” he said.

Yandoh further warned that members of the NDC could face difficult political consequences in the future if the current trend continues.

“The NDC should pray the world ends because if not, they won’t find it easy in the country,” he added.

His comments come amid ongoing investigations and legal scrutiny involving former officials of the previous administration, including Ken Ofori-Atta, over alleged corruption and financial misconduct-related matters.
