A helicopter crash has occurred in Tema Community One.
The aircraft went down at the Oninku Drive School Park in Tema Community One, near the city’s central business district. At least three persons were feared dead with some reports initially indicating two fatalities.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service were at the scene working to retrieve charred bodies from the wreckage.
No students at the nearby school were reported hurt, according to local authorities.
This incident follows a major military helicopter crash in August 2025 in the Ashanti Region that claimed the lives of eight people, including two cabinet ministers.
