  • The Incident: On July 14, 2025, around 10:00 AM, the victim was walking to her grandmother’s farm. She noticed the accused, Abdulai Yussif, following her. When she stopped to allow him to pass, Yussif allegedly grabbed her hand, dragged her into the bush, forcibly undressed her, and had sexual intercourse with her.
  • Attempted Concealment: Following the alleged act, the accused reportedly gave the victim a GH¢200 note and warned her not to disclose the incident to anyone.
  • Reporting the Crime: The victim proceeded to the farm and immediately reported the ordeal to her grandmother. A formal report was subsequently made to the Mankranso police, leading to Yussif’s arrest.

The prosecution informed the court that the accused, in his caution statement, admitted to raping the victim. After further investigations, he was formally charged and brought before the court.
