NPA Chief Executive Visits Former President Kufuor Ahead of Authority’s 20th Anniversary

The Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, has paid a courtesy call on former President John Agyekum Kufuor at his Peduase residence as part of preparations to mark the NPA’s 20th anniversary.

During the visit, Mr. Tameklo formally informed the former President about the upcoming celebrations and expressed gratitude for his instrumental role in establishing the Authority two decades ago.

He commended Mr. Kufuor’s leadership and vision, noting that the NPA continues to uphold its mandate of promoting efficiency, transparency, and consumer protection within Ghana’s petroleum downstream sector.

Mr. Tameklo also extended an official invitation for the former President to participate in the anniversary events.

Former President Kufuor thanked the delegation for the gesture and accepted the invitation. He urged the NPA leadership to continue working with integrity and professionalism as they drive the Authority’s mission forward.

The NPA CEO was accompanied by a team that included Joseph Awan, Director of Risk and Chairman of the Planning Committee; Maria Oquaye, Director of Corporate Affairs; Racheal Naa Atswei Nee-Okpey, Head of Communications; Genevieve Bissue, Head of Protocol and Logistics; Emmanuel Mensah Hanson, Executive Assistant; and Maxwell Boakye, Special Aide to the Chief Executive.
