The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, continues to gain overwhelming support as he advances through the second phase of his Ashanti Regional campaign tour.

His message of “Leadership with Integrity — Going Back to Our Roots” has deeply resonated with delegates, earning him a wave of endorsements across the region.

On the second day of his tour, the former NPP General Secretary and Press Secretary to former President John Agyekum Kufuor visited Odotobri, Manso Nkwanta, Manso Adubia, Bekwai, and Bosomtwe, where enthusiastic delegates received him with warmth and admiration. Later in the evening, he met delegates from New Edubiase, Adanse Asokwa, and Fomena at Adansi Asokwa — a gathering that turned emotional as several members recounted his long-standing sacrifices for the party.

Addressing the delegates, Ing. Agyepong urged them to have faith in his leadership and to remember his unwavering service to the party over the years.

“Have faith in me and vote for me on January 31, 2026. I have sacrificed for this party since I was 30 years old and never turned my back on it,” he said.

He reminded delegates of his decades-long journey in the NPP — from supporting Professor Adu Boahen in 1992, working with Akufo-Addo in 1998, and later serving loyally under President Kufuor, who appointed him as Press Secretary despite political differences at the time.

“I learnt humility, unity, and leadership from President Kufuor. That spirit of togetherness built our party, and it’s what I’m determined to restore,” he added.
Delegates expressed their admiration for his resilience and principled character.

One emotional delegate recalled signing the Atwima Kwanwoma constituency book in 1992 for the formation of the NPP, declaring that “Kwabena Agyepong has suffered for this party. If it were someone else, he would have quit long ago.”
He urged his fellow delegates to remember Agyepong when they go to the polls, emphasizing that the time has come to reward loyalty, sacrifice, and integrity.
“If you send him, Ghanaians will forgive the NPP and vote for us again in 2028,” the delegate declared, drawing loud applause from the crowd.
With every stop on his Ashanti tour, Ing. Agyepong’s momentum continues to build — uniting delegates and rekindling the spirit of the NPP’s founding values. Many believe his message of humility, unity, and service could be the key to restoring the party’s image and reconnecting with the Ghanaian electorate.
