NADMO Staff Found Dead in Stream at Kwabre East

A staff member of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly has been found dead in a stream between Abira and Krobo in the Ashanti Region.

The deceased, identified as Thomas Obeng, aged 60, was reportedly recovering from a recent illness. According to local sources, he had travelled from Abira to visit his wife in Krobo, a nearby community. He informed her of his intention to return to Abira, but never made it back.

His lifeless body was discovered on Thursday, September 11, in the stream separating the two communities. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and authorities have not yet determined what led to the incident.

The body has been retrieved by police and transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for autopsy and further investigations.

The Assembly Member for the Abira Electoral Area, Isaac Owusu Bempah, has confirmed the incident.
