Preacher Dr. Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim, in his “Ability to See” series on AP Radio 105.7, contrasted the unity of God’s family — the Church — with the division of the worldly extended family.
He explained that in God’s family, all believers share the same faith, worship the same Creator, follow the same Lord Jesus Christ, are baptized in the same way, and are filled with the same Holy Spirit.
“We are one people with one destination — heaven,” he said. In the Church, members stand together in prayer and love, fighting a common enemy — demons — and supporting one another in times of attack or need.
Dr. Ephraim lamented that the worldly extended family is the opposite, marked by jealousy, division, and selfishness.
He said family members often disagree because they hold different values, and instead of helping one another, they only unite when someone dies — to organize funerals and drink alcohol. “Many families don’t gather to solve poverty or help suffering relatives; they only gather to celebrate death,” he noted.
He urged listeners to compare the two families and choose wisely, declaring that it is far better to belong to God’s family — the Church — where love, unity, and spiritual care abound, rather than to a worldly family driven by greed and neglect.
