At least six people have died and several others sustained injuries after a Hyundai Urvan collided with a trailer on the Obuasi-Kyekyewere road in the Ashanti Region.
The accident occurred around 8:30 pm on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, near Aboagye Motors close to the Obuasi Court junction. Preliminary reports indicate that the trailer lost control before crashing into the Hyundai Urvan, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.
The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Obuasi Government Hospital, where the injured are also receiving medical treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine its cause and to implement measures aimed at preventing similar accidents in the future.
