Jude Bellingham has represented England at three major international tournaments.
Real Madrid are assessing the extent of a hamstring injury suffered by Jude Bellingham during their 2-1 La Liga victory over Rayo Vallecano.
The 22-year-old midfielder was visibly distressed as he was forced off less than 10 minutes into the match at the Santiago Bernabéu, clutching his left hamstring before being replaced by Brahim Díaz.
England have upcoming friendlies against Uruguay on 27 March and Japan on 31 March, with head coach Thomas Tuchel set to announce his World Cup squad in May.
After the match, Real Madrid manager Álvaro Arbeloa admitted he was uncertain about the seriousness of the injury. However, the club later confirmed on Sunday evening that Bellingham had sustained a hamstring problem and would undergo further tests.
“Jude was in perfect condition to play and gave absolutely everything,” Arbeloa said. “It’s a significant loss, but we have an exceptional squad.
“We shouldn’t forget that 17 of these players were European champions just 18 months ago. With them, we’ll overcome whatever challenges come our way.”
