The family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, on Wednesday, November 26, held a solemn Requiem Mass in her honour as preparations intensify for her final funeral rites.
The service was attended by several dignitaries, including former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, former First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga, as well as relatives, friends, and sympathisers. Their presence reflected the deep national sorrow that has followed her passing on October 23, 2025.
Hymns, prayers, and scripture readings filled the church as mourners paid tribute to Nana Konadu’s life, leadership, and decades of public service. Clad in black, the Rawlings family led the ceremony and expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Ghanaians for the overwhelming support shown since the announcement of her death.
The atmosphere remained reflective throughout, with many attendees honouring her enduring contributions to national development.
A state funeral for the late former First Lady will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra.
