Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings passed away on October 23, 2025, following a brief illness. Speaking on behalf of the Ghanaian government and people, President Mahama confirmed that she would receive a full state burial with official honors.

He described her death as “sudden and deeply painful” and paid tribute to her enduring legacy, emphasizing that her efforts in national development and advancing the cause of women remain “unmatched.” The President extended heartfelt condolences to the Rawlings family, assuring them of the state’s full support in coordinating the funeral arrangements.
