On Thursday, January 9, a group of individuals suspected to be members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) task force reportedly forced Kwame Baah Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), to vacate his office.

The group stormed the NSA offices at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, demanding that Mensah relinquish both the office keys and his official vehicle.

In a surprising twist, many NSA staff members appeared to support the actions, with several expressing approval of the incident.

Some staff members accused Mensah of mistreating employees, failing to pay due allowances, and engaging in corrupt practices. They also criticized his poor working relationships during his tenure.

To restore order, officers from the Asokwa District Police Command were deployed and successfully escorted the NSA Director into a private vehicle.

Additionally, jubilant staff members insisted that Mensah would not be allowed to take bottles of water from his office, claiming that they were purchased with NSA funds.
