President John Dramani Mahama is set to receive the official Bawku Mediation Report on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at a ceremony to be held at Jubilee House in Accra.
The presentation marks a significant step in ongoing national efforts to restore lasting peace and stability in Bawku and its surrounding communities.
The report is the result of mediation led by the Asantehene, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who has been at the forefront of national reconciliation initiatives aimed at resolving long-standing tensions in the area.
The ceremony will underscore the shared commitment of state institutions, traditional authorities, religious bodies, and development partners to promoting social cohesion in the region.
Scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., the event will bring together senior government officials, traditional leaders, the mediation team, and selected dignitaries.
Invited institutions include the National Peace Council, the Christian Council, the Office of the National Chief Imam, the Catholic Secretariat, UNDP, the British High Commission, as well as key regional authorities such as the Ministers for Upper East and North East, representatives from the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs, and the National Security apparatus.
