Gospel artist Mabel Okyere has expressed her contentment with her nomination for “Gospel Song of the Year” at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), despite not winning the award.

Okyere stated that she was pleased Nacee’s “Aseda” won, believing it deserved the recognition over her own hit, “Anuonyam (Aha Ye Kwan Ho).”

She emphasized her gratitude for the nomination, acknowledging the high caliber of gospel music released during the eligibility period.

“To get a nomination, it means God has really glorified Himself,” she said. “I wasn’t hurt that I couldn’t go home with the award because the testimonies alone I’m getting from what the song is doing in the lives of others are more than an award.”
