The Campaign Team of Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has refuted widespread rumours suggesting that the former NPP General Secretary has withdrawn from the party’s upcoming presidential primaries.
According to the campaign, the claims are part of a calculated attempt to mislead delegates and undermine the growing momentum behind Ing. Agyepong’s bid to lead the New Patriotic Party into the 2028 general elections.
In a statement signed by Nana Ama Asantewaa Kwarko, Spokesperson for the campaign, the team emphasized that Ing. Agyepong remains fully active in the race and more determined than ever to deliver unity, credibility, and electoral victory for the NPP.

ING. KWABENA AGYEI AGYEPONG HAS NOT WITHDRAWN FROM NPP FLAGBEARER RACE
The KAA 2028 Campaign has noted with concern the circulation of false rumours suggesting that Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has stepped down from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership race.
We want to make it absolutely clear that this claim is false, baseless, and misleading. Ing. Agyepong is actively in the race and fully pursuing his vision of Renewal and Hope for both the NPP and Ghana.
These falsehoods are not new. In 2014, following a serious accident on his way to Tamale, some falsely claimed he was bedridden and incapable of performing his duties as General Secretary. That narrative was proven wrong by his recovery and continued service to the Party. Today’s attempt to mislead the public follows the same tired playbook and will fail again.
Ing. Agyepong continues to face unwarranted attacks because his opponents know one truth: he is the only candidate who carries the grace, discipline, and credibility to lead the NPP to power in 2028.
The growing grassroots support for his candidacy has clearly unsettled some. He stands out as the only aspirant with deep institutional knowledge of the NPP, backed by a solid track record of loyalty, service, and integrity built over three decades of unshakable devotion.
His message is always clear:
“With KAA, the NPP has a clear path to Unity and Victory. We need a pair of clean hands, a clear mind, and a compassionate heart to lead our Party and this nation.”
His focus has not shifted. Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong continues to press forward with optimism and willpower .
