IGP Promotes 17 Police Officers for Outstanding Service

The Inspector General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has approved the promotion of 17 police officers, including two senior officers, in recognition of their outstanding service and professionalism.

The promotions were awarded to honour the officers’ exemplary conduct, dedication to duty and strong commitment to operational excellence, discipline and national service.

According to a press release copied to the Ghana News Agency, the move forms part of broader efforts by the Ghana Police Service to motivate personnel who demonstrate exceptional integrity and commitment in the line of duty.

The statement said IGP Yohuno, together with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), congratulated the officers and encouraged them to regard their promotion as a call to higher responsibility, leadership and accountability.

The Police Service further urged all officers to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism, loyalty and service to the public, reaffirming its commitment to rewarding merit and excellence as a way of boosting morale and strengthening effective policing across the country.
