During a working visit to the Greater Accra Regional Command, the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) Council reaffirmed its dedication to working closely with the Comptroller-General and the Ministry of the Interior to ensure a disciplined, efficient, and well-coordinated service.

The Council met with regional leadership to discuss key issues affecting operations and to encourage officers to maintain high standards in the performance of their duties.

Addressing personnel on Monday, December 8, Council Chairman Rev. Stephen Wengam urged officers to demonstrate professionalism and maximize the use of the resources available to them.

“Please be encouraged,” he said. “Let’s make the most of what we have. When authorities realise that even with limited resources you are delivering exceptional results, it motivates them to provide more support. So, cooperate with your leaders and remain highly professional.”
