Herbert Mensah, a prominent figure in Ghanaian sports, has expressed deep concern over the nation’s waning sporting prowess.
The former Kotoko chairman and current President of World Rugby’s African Association lamented Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, an unprecedented event in two decades.
Mensah attributed this decline to a series of factors, including poor performance in major international competitions like the Olympics and Commonwealth Games.
He argued that Ghana’s once-stellar reputation in the sporting world has faded, and the country now struggles to compete at the highest level.
